01 / background
The Path to Developer Trust
My background didn't start in marketing. It came through actuarial mathematics, biostatistics, and applied machine learning before leading Developer Relations at high-growth AI and devtool companies.
The habits from that path are permanent: defend the number, show the mechanism, and distrust any benchmark or claim you cannot inspect and reproduce yourself.
Over the past several years, I led DevRel and Developer Advocacy at Deci AI (acquired by NVIDIA) and Voxel51 (the team behind FiftyOne). In those roles, DevRel wasn't booth duty or cheerleading. It was forward-deployed engineering: building working vision pipelines, fine-tuning open-weight models, stress-testing developer APIs, and creating the technical proof that makes cynical engineers trust a tool.
02 / the consultancy
Why The Employable Data Scientist Exists
Most AI startups and devtool companies hit the same wall: they build complex, powerful technology, but developers don't understand how to use it, don't trust the benchmarks, or can't get past a broken quickstart.
The Employable Data Scientist is a hands-on technical consultancy built to solve that exact bottleneck. We work directly with founders and engineering leaders across three core surfaces:
- Hacker-in-Residence & AI Engineering: Rapid prototyping, vision/multimodal pipelines (VLMs, YOLO, FiftyOne), and integration proof before production rollouts.
- Developer Relations & Advocacy: Designing and executing high-credibility DevRel programs that treat developers like peers rather than marketing targets.
- Model Evaluation & Technical Content: Rigorous evaluation rubrics, red teaming, and deep-dive technical breakdowns backed by working repositories.

Artists of Intelligence
I host Artists of Intelligence, a long-form podcast digging into physical AI, robotics, AI agents, computer vision, and modern engineering craft with the practitioners actually building it.
We publish complete, word-for-word transcripts for every technical session so the insights, model architectures, and production failures are openly searchable.
